Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and execute facultative strategies
    • Lead and mentor the facultative broking team, fostering continuous improvement
    • Demonstrate exceptional market knowledge in broking industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Client and Broker Relationships:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers and clients
    • Develop new business opportunities with intermediaries and clients
    • Represent the company at industry events
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Collaborate with claims, risk engineering, and actuarial teams
    • Conduct competitor analysis and benchmark broking practices
    • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
    • Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions



  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years’ insurance industry experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record in facultative broking and risk assessment
  • Significant experience working with a broking organisation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and the ability to innovate and adapt

This includes regularly reviewing and updating rate structures, exploring new rating variables, and ensuring pricing adequacy and competitiveness.
